Overall outcome of the patient on ayurvedic treatment depends on a lot of factors like, the overall health condition of the patient, the immunity level, lifestyle followed by patient etc.
1.
Nourishment therapy to improve immunity should be given and patient’s agni (power of digestion and metabolism) should be stimulated.
2.
Dipana (digestive stimulants) brmhana ( nourishing therapy) and srotas-sodhana (therapies which cleanse the channels of circulation) are given alternatively.
3.
The patient undergoes thorough dosha constitution and analysis study under guidance of Dr Ashok Kumar, as the disease is sannipatij ( involves simultaneous aggravation of all three doshas). Therefore, therapies which alleviate all the three doshas are administered for the treatmen of the ailment.
4.
Eventhough the disease is caused by simultaneous aggravation of all three doshas, the bala (seriousness) and abala (lightness) of this ailment is determined by the nature of the aggravation of the associated doshas. Keeping this in view, the treatment is designed on an individual basis depending on the prakruti (body constitution of patient, the doshas aggravated and the nature of the doshas in imbalance.
5. Depending on the doshas which are over aggravated, patient is given mild purgative along with unctuous ingredients (medicated ghee).
6. Following categories of therapies are administered in various combinations as necessary (depending on disease stage and doshas): Bhojya (food preparations), Pana (drinks), Sarpis (medicated ghee), leha ( recipes of linctus) etc.
