Dr Ashok Ayurvedic Clinic specialises
in the treatment of psoriasis under the expertise and
experience of Dr Ashok Kumar. He has treated hundreds
of patients successfully with combinations of Ayurvedic
medicines and panchakarma therapy.
The
treatment protocol is designed after the thorough assessment
of your prakruti (body constitution), disease state
(severity of disease, types of doshas involved) and
symptoms. Full protocol includes your diet plan, stress
relieving therapy, pure Ayurvedic medicines for local
application and oral use and panchakarma treatment like
Snehapana, external application of medicated oils, Virechana
and Vamana karma are advised. For these treatments there
are a wide range of Ayurvedic medicines prepared out
of a combination of lots of herbs to suit different
types of dosha imbalances and body constitutions. These
medicines do not have any side-effects and start giving
results within a few days.
Dr
Ashok Kumar, with his considerable experience in psoriasis
treatment says psoriasis can be controlled if the patient
is ready to accept the protocol and conditions fixed
by the him for treatment as well changing the lifestyle.
If it is in the initial stage it can be cured with out
much delay. Other wise regular treatment continuing
for months will be needed. All depends on how the patient
accepts the treatment modalities and how strictly follows
the dietary protocol for the rest of the life.
A strict diet regime has to be followed during the entire
treatment period and it is better to be a vegetarian.
Yogurt, black gram, chillies and salted thing have to
be restricted. It is better to avoid refrigerated/chilled
foods. Psoriatic must keep a state of mental calmness.
Patients must accept the condition and not be stressed
with itself and then accept the treatment protocol to
get rid of the problem at the earliest.
Mode of Treatment -
In
the beginning, the patient’s body constitution
is thoroughly assessed to identify the doshas involved
in the disease process and the body’s own dosha
build up. This also gives an idea of the time period
required to settle the doshas involved in the disease
process and body’s own dosha make-up.
First
line of treatment is the Deepan-Pachan treatment if
required which involves use of a combination of Ayurvedic
medicines to increase the digestive fire of the body
and enable it to reduce toxins produced in the body
due to imbalance in the digestive system.
Thereafter
Snehapana is advised if required on the basis of the
body constitution and dosha imbalance. The involved
the use of Ayurvedic medicines to liquify doshas which
coalesce to all strotas (channels) of the body.
Virechana
Therapy is advised after snehapana, where virechak medicines
are prescribed which brings all liquefied doshas to
the GI track( gut) and expel them out of the body.
In
most cases oral medicines are advised along with medicated
oils/ creams for local applications.
Our aim is to give
a psoriasis free life.
