The disease involves the main system of our body- The Respiratory System- responsible for our life. Therefore, the disease has a major impact on overall health of the patient. Due to the impact of the illness, patients feel weak, tired and depressed. The lung capacity decreases in the disease and hinders the quality of life of patients to the extent that they fear to go out to socialise or to go on holiday. This is because slight changes in weather can exacerbate the disease.

Right from diagnosis, the choice with conventional system of medicine is to treat patients with recurrent courses of antibiotics, this is due to various infections. Infections are major cause of the aggravation of the symptoms and progression of disease. With recurrent courses of antibiotics, patients often become resistant with antibiotics and the disease continues to worsen.

With years of experience of treating this illness with Ayurvedic medications, In most cases we are able to provide a symptom and disease free life without the patient needing recurrent courses of antibiotics. Most of our patients stop taking antibiotics within two-three months time and the frequency of taking antibiotics starts decreasing within a couple of weeks.
